TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF KANGAR BRANCH AND REOPENING OF PEKAN BRANCH
KUALA LUMPUR, 18 April 2021: The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) is temporarily closing its Kangar office and counters from Monday, 19 April 2021 until further notice, after an employee at the branch was tested positive for COVID-19.
This is following instructions from the Ministry of Health for the management of the premise to conduct disinfection and sanitisation. The employee is now under treatment for recovery while contact tracing is currently underway.
The Ministry has also instructed all EPF Kangar employees to be quarantined at home until 25 April 2021 and undergo COVID-19 swab tests.
In addition, EPF Pekan will be reopened starting Monday, 19 April 2021 after having been closed since 9 April 2021.
Members are advised to transact online via i-Akaun for selected services or reschedule their visits to a later date via the Janji Temu Online facility if there is a need to be present at EPF branches in person.
All EPF branches will continue to strictly observe physical distancing and other preventive SOPs in mitigating the spread of COVID-19.
