TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF GEORGETOWN AND SHAH ALAM BRANCHES AND REOPENING OF KOTA KINABALU BRANCH

KUALA LUMPUR, 3 January 2021: The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) is temporarily closing its Georgetown and Shah Alam offices and counters on Monday, 4 January 2021, following instructions from the Ministry of Health for the management of the premises to conduct disinfection and sanitisation, after a number of staff tested positive for COVID-19. EPF Georgetown will be closed for two (2) days and reopen on Wednesday, 6 January 2021, while EPF Shah Alam will be closed for one (1) day and reopen on Tuesday, 5 January 2021.

In addition, EPF Kota Kinabalu will be reopened starting Monday, 4 January 2021 after being closed on 31 December 2020.

Members who have made prior appointments to the related branches are advised to log onto the Janji Temu Online facility to reschedule their visits to a later date. Members may also visit other EPF branches, which continue to operate as usual, or transact online via i-Akaun for selected services.

The EPF is taking the necessary steps to ensure the health and safety of its employees and members of the public. All service employees at the related brances will be taking the COVID-19 swab test, and if found positive, will undergo the mandatory 10-day quarantine as per the guidelines by the National Security Council (MKN). All EPF branches will continue to strictly observe physical distancing and other preventive SOPs in mitigating the spread of COVID-19.
