TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF SHAH ALAM BRANCH AND REOPENING OF LAHAD DATU BRANCH

KUALA LUMPUR, 31 January 2021: The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) is temporarily closing its Shah Alam office and counters from Monday, 1 February 2021 until further notice, after a number of employees at the branch was tested positive for COVID-19. This is following instructions from the Ministry of Health for the management of the premise to conduct disinfection and sanitisation. The employees are now under treatment for recovery while contact tracing is currently underway.

In addition, EPF Lahad Datu will be reopened starting Thursday, 4 February 2021 after being closed starting 20 January 2021.

Members are advised to transact online via i-Akaun for selected services or reschedule their visits to a later date via the Janji Temu Online facility if there is a need to be present at EPF branches in person.

The EPF is taking the necessary steps to ensure the health and safety of its employees and members of the public. All service employees of EPF Shah Alam will be taking the COVID-19 swab test, and if found positive, will undergo the mandatory 10-day quarantine as per the guidelines by the National Security Council (MKN). All EPF branches will continue to strictly observe physical distancing and other preventive SOPs in mitigating the spread of COVID-19.
